Our friends Danny Schmidt & Carrie Elkin have organized a “Welcome to Austin” concert for us on April 21st at the Cactus Café here in Austin.  The best part?  A group of Austin’s best songwriters – Danny & Carrie included – are going to be featured in the first set.  Nope, we don’t need to be told how effin’ lucky we are to have stumbled into this gorgeous town and upon these gorgeous people.  Come help us celebrate!

PAUL CURRERI & DEVON SPROULE Zoo Gang’s expat hosts Curreri and Sproule were early members of the Tin Angel family and have been based on this side of the ocean since late last summer. The couple tour and record separately but share a poetic, genre-defying ethos and, most recently, a haircut. This set will of course spotlight their far-too-rare duets.

MICHAEL KING & FAYE HADDON (Boat to Row) Boy-girl harmonies, tripping glockenspiel, swooning violin, outdoor sauntering, nautical fantasy — a special duo performance by two members of Midlands outfit Boat to Row. Boat to Row have navigated the shores of the UK this past year, stopping in at Dot-to-Dot, Truck, Wood, Moseley Folk and Gloucester Underground Festivals. A busy year but their fresh faces and light touch remain!

Tin Angel Records and For Folk’s Sake are teaming up again to support London’s Integrated Cancer Centre, this time to the soundtrack of Devon Sproule’s new song, “Send Me to Coventry (for Christmas).”

Devon recorded this gorgeous low-fi gem on her phone in Berlin, for a friend, and it landed as a standout track on the recent For Folk’s Sake compilation “For Folk’s Sake, It’s Christmas”. Win the competition and along with various Devon Sproule and FFS-related musical prizes, your video will be linked to Devon’s own video for the song, posted to her website, and announced in her monthly email newsletter. Help us celebrate the season and spread the word about this wonderful compilation!

Here’s how the competition works: E-mail the Tin Angel team – tinangelcompetition@gmail.com – with the subject title “Send Me To Coventry” and we’ll send you a private link to the track.

Make your video – all styles are welcome! Please note that any video using copyrighted material without the permission of the copyright holder, content that is judged to be discriminatory or offensive, or spam, will not be eligible for competition.

The winning video will be featured on Devon’s website and all Tin Angel Records pages, and will receive a signed copy of Devon’s new record “I Love You, Go Easy,” and a “Monk” T-shirt.
